My first camera. Any suggestions?

Lately I've had the urge to snap some photos. Usually I get the motivation when I'm out walking my dog. The weather's been awesome, and I'd like to capture some of the scenery.

The only camera I have is an ancient HP digicam. Aside from the crappy quality, it has that annoying delay from the time I press the button to the time the camera snaps.

So I'd like a camera that has that feeling of point-and-click with no delay. I'm not hung-up on digital, in-fact the idea of real film is appealing. I'd also like to be able to play around with the exposure, to perhaps create some cool shots.

Any suggestions? I don't even know what my price range should be, so I'll start by saying I don't want to spend more than 200$.

no delay between when you press the shutter and when it fires (actually faster than SLRs cuz it doesn't have to wait for the mirror to slap)

get one that's been overhauled for about $75 on ebay or check rangefinderforum.com.

also it's a great low-light camera because the lens is sharpest when wide open (they sure don't make 'em like that any more) and because the flash can sync at any shutter speed (leaf blade shutter built by copal)
