My first build!!!!!

Thats it I've finally ordered everything for what will be my first build
How does it look

256mb DDR crucial ram
pioneer 106 slot DVD
Linksys nic
ATI Radeon vivo 64mb (I hope this is a good from my Geforce256 Prophet se)
Soundblaster live mp3+5.1 ( I wanted a santa cruz, but the staples deal was too good to pass up).
IBM 60gp 60gb hard drive
Antec sx1040

I'm really excited yet nervous, because I know I'm gonna need some help!!!!

Oh I also gotta anti-static wriststrap so my newbie butt doesn't fry anything
I'm not sure what to clip the strap to when working on the comp???? any pointers, reccomendations etc.... about anything!!!

what os? if it's w2k, i'd get 512 for the hell of it. i mean it's what, 40 bucks? can't go wrong. you clip the strap onto an running computer or something like that so it can get rid of the charge.

Clip it to the metal on the case and u will be fine.

i also think you should get 512mb of ram if youre running win2k. it takes advantage of it, and it would be worth it. of course, you dont have to buy all 512 right now, you can wait a little while (heck prices might go down even more), and then buy another 256.
