My First Build Attempt - Am I on the right track?

I am looking to tackle my first computer build. I am a casual gamer, so I am not looking for a blow your doors off machine. I have ordered 3 different Dell computers over the last 1.5 months and have returned them all. They just seem to be a piece of junk and I can never get the exact config I really want.

I figured in order to keep s/h under foot, I have looked only at Newegg for my components. What do you think:

RAIDMAX SMILODON ATX-612WBP w/500 watt ps - 69.99 a/r

Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD3200AAKS 320GB - 74.99 a/r

SAPPHIRE 100206L Radeon HD 2600PRO 256MB - 79.99

Patriot Extreme Performance 2GB SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) - 51.99 a/r

GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX - 99.99

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz - 194.99
-----------

Total Cost: 571.94 + 28.32 (s/h) = $600.26

-----------

Notes - I am going to use my current CD/DVD Burner and if I wanted to save a few more bucks I could pull in my 160 GB HD for now. I will be using my own XP. I am not looking to OC.

So the question is: Is this worth comparing to a Dell Vostro/530 where I can only get an E6550, BUT they come with a monitor, smaller HD, and with little or no VC???

Also, being my first one...any advice?

After doing some more searching....below is what I found for $599. I need to upgrade the VC...but it is hard to pass this up even though it is not the processor I wanted. What are your thoughts....build my own and cancel my order..... or buy it?
