Hi guys, I just joined the forums this week and learned how to overclock. I think I got it but please tell me if I'm doing anything wrong. I set the memory to 166, set the HT to 4x, set the cpu fsb to 245 and I think that's all... so my 2ghz is at 2.21 and my mem is at 200. is it supposed to be 400? or is it 200ddr = 400. Let me know. And also I set my mem to 2.5-3-3-7 T1 from 2.5-3-3-8 T2. I'm so proud of myself! now I just hope my computer doesn't melt down and cause a fire in my dorm..

nice, what processor?

guessing athlon 3000+ with the 9 multiplier.

same memory settings as me with my overclock

i have 4 512 sticks so it liked to run at 166mhz. Overclocked the CPU to 2.2Ghz and got the memory to stock speeds at 200 mHz

well the processor is a 3200+ 939 winchester(from what cpu-z says) and the multiplyer was set at 10 but I thought i needed to lower it to 9 for some reason?

Since my motherboard program says my processor is at 34 idle, if I wanted to overclock more how do I do that without making my memory faster? I don't think my valueram can take any more..

You should be able to take it higher if you want. My 3200+ winnie will do 10x245=2450mhz pretty easily or even 9x289=2601mhz
