I just installed a I/O Flex PCI to Firewire IEEE 1394 3+1 Ports Host Adapter into my machine, and it isn't working.
I installed it in order to connect my MiniDV camcorder to my computer, so I can pull video off and burn it to DVD.
I powered off, installed the card, booted up and XP recognized it and installed.
However, When I plug the camera up, turn it to "VCR" mode, MOST of the time it isn't recognized and nothing happens.
Once in a while XP will detect it, and will give me the window to choose what I want to do. You know, use windows movie maker, adobe premier, etc.
When I do choose a program to use, it just hangs up and nothing happens. I am trying to use Adobe premier 1.5 pro.
the camcorder is a panasonic PV-DV203d
anyone know what it could be?
