i hope it goes away, but be careful. my mother has MS and numbness in her extremities were some of the initial symptoms. if it persists, see a doctor.

How old are you? If you are fairly young you probably just pinched a nerve sleeping (I did this recently and couldn't lift stuff with my right hand for about a day then everything returned to normal).

If you are older, go see a doctor. My dad had carpal tunnel and it has progressed to the point that he has a hard time opening a pepsi. He just had his first surgery yesterday so hopefully it gets better.
