I just don't get this.. Sorry.. Your components are so expensive yet the heart of your system is, what, 1.4 ghz? I understand 1.7+'s for budget systems.. But your power supply's 50% more money than your cpu.. Hmmm..

Well, I prefer the Vantec C7040 HSF unit ($25 US) over your combo, but yours is fine too. Also, I prefer the Maxtor 6Y080P0 80 gig 8 meg cache fluid bearing HD ($106 US), its faster and quieter than the WD. I don't even know how easy it is to get stuff up there, and if you can get the stuff I mentioned, so take it for what it is worth.

His CPU is NOT 1.47GHz. Or atleast it wont stay that for long ;) Most 1700+ JIUHBs go to 2.3GHz (some even to 2.5GHz on air) so it will be just as fast as the fastest AMD is offering at the moment, the XP3000+.

Good luck with the overclocking m8! ;)

Hehe, Oreo knows my real intentions:) This chip is specially selected breed. It's 1.43 GHZ but it can be easily overclocked to 2.2 GHZ + no sweat, which is about 2800 XP+ and more:)

As for the RAM, I heard Kingston HyperX is better than Corsair and much cheaper for me. As for the CPU fan, I doubt Vantec is enough for my overclocking needs, so that's why I am going for the more elaborate SLK-800/Smartfan II combo.

i suggest u get hyperX 3200 . i got the 2700, biggest mistake. since u are getting the new stepping of the 8rda+ (which i think i ihave too and i get 240 fsb stable) u should easily reach 200+ fsb.
