Well, I finally have some good after pictures of me so I figured I'd share with everyone.

PICS

I started @ 290. THose photos were from August (so a little over a year). I down to about 190 and then started lifting harder and doing the protein shake thing. I am about 198 right now.

no plan as such. i read the south beach and atkins books. I did cut out sugar (duh) and switched to whole wheat pasta and brown rice. But really it was just a major shift in my choices of food and serving sizes. I also started hitting the gym 4 days a week (at least).

thanks for the compliments. I had thought about trying to lose more, but I think Ive hit a good point for my body to be at. According to the BMI I should be about 180, but I dont think I'd look healthy.

as for excercises. I started with mostly cardio (cross trainer, treadmill) then started doing more weight training as I started loosing more fat.

Did you drink soft drinks prior to your diet?

Congratulations and hopefully this will be a permanent lifestyle change :)

Congrats

My mate has dropped 55lbs in @ 5months. He started to train properly again and not eat just BS (2l bottles of cokes, boxes of popsickles, double burger king meals...just general crap). He does no CV also :p, you don't need it if you do weights and eat properly but it would help if he could be bothered.

Ive had the girl for over 5 years. She was really good about my weight before, but I am glad I did what I did because she deserves it.

And about the soda, yeah, I used to drink A LOT of soda.
