My wife became pregnant with our son and we only had sex 3 times the month we started trying... I was sick as hell for a week or so, got better, then got sick as hell again. We had sex during the "got better" phase.

One "accident" is all it takes... and KIDS ARE FVCKING AWESOME!!!

Yesterday was the last day of her period (her period lasts 3 days) and today we 'fooled around' a bit but we might have had an 'accident. Given that yesterday was the last day of her period, she is unable to get pregnant today, correct?

unable is the wrong word, it is unlikely

With pregnancy you always have odds stacked against you if you bring sperm anywhere near her....the chance for the most part of even pregnancy during ovulation is pretty low (not odds I'd like to bet on).

However, in practice; you performed the rhythm method of birth control. Over the course of 1 year, about 25 out of 100 "typical" couples who use this will end up pregnant.

The scientific definition states you can get pregnant about a week before (6 days) and a couple days after ovulation which should occur around the 14th day of her cycle. The real definition states sex can get you pregnant.

Not even using the pill and condoms together is 100%.

Personally I don't think I'd run to the morning after pill on this one, but it depends on you. Also just because she gets or doesn't get her period next month doesn't mean anything 100% either.

By education, do you mean fear mongering and brain washing?

Are you saying that there is something wrong with practising, and teaching others to practise safe sex?

If the OP had practised safe sex he wouldn't have a thing to worry about.

It's very, very unlikely, but still theoretically possible.

i am not gonna read all this stuff.... but i am sure someone has said... it does not matter when the females period is... she could get pregnant anytime durring the month, depending on her egg cycle.

How 'bout you stop googling and go with her to grab a morning after pill to be on the safe side.

My question is OP, why is she not on some sort of birth control? there are so many options.. patch, pills, shots, IUD's... i dont get it. Maybe you should speak with her about it if she is not already on one.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhythm_method

In the best case scenario, the most accurate version of the rythm method under perfect use has a 5% chance of pregnancy per year. Thus there is close to a 0.5% chance that you are now a father, assuming you correctly identified that time period as a relatively infertile time. If so, congratulations. Of course in actual real world use the method has a 25% pregnancy rate per year, which would yield a 2% chance that you're a daddy now. You know there are a number of pharmaceutical methods that have much higher reliability, and all of them are cheaper than pregnancy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oral_contraceptive

So now that that's dealt with, this thread is now about replacing a missing ctrl key on the bottom left of a logitech wireless keyboard that is otherwise fully functional. Any hints?

The egg is fertilized while it decends down the fallopian tube. Sperm can live up to 7 days inside a woman.

Women are most fertile 14 days into their cycle. Sperm can live up to seven days inside a woman. You had an accident seven days into her cycle. Jackpot!

I'm just curious how "fooling around" can result in sperm in the vagina. As far as I know fooling around is everything up to penetration.
