Job/Intern experience is much more important than GPA's. I don't even list my GPA on my resume anymore (3.0) because once I do that's all the recruiters will see. I just list exactly what I've done and the experience that I have. If GPA is important to a recruiter, than they'll ask for it. With this same resume I've gotten interviews with IBM, Microsoft, AMD, and more. Keep going to job fairs, be persistent, and know the crap you learned in college. GPA's are reflective of how well you did on tests, nothing more. I'm a horrible test taker, but I know my stuff and it shows in the real world, and that's what counts in the end.

that is true to an extent, but from my personal experience, I haven't to use any personal connections and had 5 interviews for internships last year (freshman year) and this year so far i've had 2 with probably 5 more coming

as far as harvard inflating grades, its true. So many people were going from my school to Harvard to take classes in the summer because they were SO MUCH easier than ours. Thats when my university said it will no longer accept harvard credit.
