I bring my own lunch to work because the cafeteria sux A$$. I bring decent lunch which usually consists of rice, veggies and meat.

Everday, I see the same co-workers put in frozen dinner in the microwave and those things are absolutely horrid!

Yea, those frozen dinners are nasty, not to mention unhealthy. I don't know how some people eat that crap everyday. I always bring my own too.

Take him out for lunch so he doesn't die of sodium poisoning or mind your business.

A co-worker of mine has ramen noodles everyday for lunch.

I usually bring in leftovers... or a sandwhich of some sort.

Not all microwave meals are created equal. Hell, they are probably better for you than most sh!t that people either get from the cafeteria or make up from scratch.

The banquet and hungry man tubs-o-crap chock full of sodium and saturated fat with little to no other nutritional value are indeed horrible. But the more "health" oriented ones by weight watchers, south beach diet, and lean cuisine aren't bad at all. They are typically high in protien, high in fiber, low(er) in sodium and in reasonable serving sizes.

I've lived off of microwave lunches for the last 18 months. My cholesterol is a total of 150, triglycerides are 50, BP is 90/60.

I'd say I'm doing alright.

Your lunch sounds kind of nasty to me. Rice has a lot of calories and "meat" is high in cholesterol assuming you mean red meat as most people do when they say meat. I'll take microwaved food over eating rice and red meat every day.

Indeed, I'd take one of my carefully chosen frozen choices (80% of the time from Trader Joes .) over some of the crap I see people eating.

Not all microwavable meals are bad. I started eating Healthy Choice for dinner about 2 weeks ago and I've lost about 5-7 pounds since then without any other changes to my diet and exercise routine. I think the best thing about them is portion control. They don't give you huge portions to pig out on, and I am still satisfied after eating them. Granted, I eat 6 small meals a day, but I used to pig out at dinner time.

STFU comes in boxes now? Must be like those juice drink things you give kids.

They've been around for decades. They are called Happy Meals.

In general Trader Joe's is fantastic but some of their frozen foods do have really high levels of sodium.
