So a few weeks ago I wrote this in response to the lame parking ticket I got. For it, I had a conference with an Assistant Dean of Students. Her office was rather rude in talking with me, which kinda annoyed me. The person I spoke with wasn't too bad. Anyway, I got a letter in today about it.
Part of their letter to me:
This letter will confirm our conference on May 10, 2004 in regard to the April 25th, 2004 incident in which it was alleged that you were present in South Scott Hall in violation of your restriction. You acknowledged that the allegations are true.
It is my finding that the allegations are true. You are being cited from the UW Oshkosh 2003-2004 Student Discipline Code under UWS 17.03(6) and 18.06(3).

My letter to the Dean of Students:
My letter of response:

Dear James;
On May 12, 2004, I received a letter from Terri Gohmann (see attachment). In the letter mentioned, she makes the following statements which I believe to be untrue:
1) ??it was alleged that you were present in South Scott Hall??
I have never been in either of the Scott halls. I request to view/hear any evidence showing me to be in that building.
2) ??in violation of your restriction.?
To the best of my knowledge, I have no restrictions in place. I request to see all University records regarding any past or present restrictions in place for myself.
3) ?You acknowledged that the allegations are true.?
I have not acknowledged the above allegations to be true. Furthermore, I have never heard the above allegations. Because of this, I request the following:
a) Any evidence showing me to have acknowledged the above allegations to be true.
b) Evidence showing the above allegations were shown to me.
4) ??under UWS 17.03(6) and 18.06(3).?
UWS 17.03(6) states (from the UW Oshkosh 2003-2004 Student Discipline Code) ?For acts which violate the provisions of ch. UWS 18, Conduct on University Lands.?
UWS 18.06(3) states (from the UW Oshkosh 2003-2004 Student Discipline Code) ?Prohibited acts. No person may remove, destroy, or molest any bird, animal or fish life within the university lands except as authorized by the chief administrative officer or except when this provision conflicts with a special order of the department of natural resources.?
I deny committing any acts listed under UWS 18.06(3) and request to view any evidence of the above acts.
Due to the inconsistencies mentioned above, I feel I necessary to request a meeting with yourself, the Dean of Students, or another University representative at or above your level. If the issues above have not been resolved by May 18th, 2004, I will request a hearing before the nonacademic misconduct hearing committee.
As it is near the end of the semester and I will not be living on the campus during the interim, I have included both my current contact information (effective until Friday, May 14th, 2004) and my summer contact information.

Thank you for you assistance,
