I hate rap, bad poetry, Kurt Cobain, and smarmy little weasels who think posting quotes like this makes them look cool. So there's alot to hate here.

Eminem and Tupac have good lyrics on some of their more serious songs. Tupac- Changes is a classic.

You're mixing up definitions there. Their lyrics may be poetry (technichally), but the music itself certainly isn't poetic. And music in general doesn't have to be.
