wow 13,6 on a GF3 you must be using some of those [cough] optomized [/cough] drivers. oh well good for you. and you forgot to mention "little oc on the card"

it's just an old nice driver Det. 40.72 that many of the users use..

the reason why i said little oc on the card was because I used have my primary card(GF3 ti200) that oc's better, 297core. hehe. This one is at around 286 avg.

the card is supercooled. 0C~ -10C water temp from deep freezer + 80watt peltier.

no pelt for the cpu, just waterchilled only, same source deep freezer, and highly optimized/ highly sufficient loop/flow setup.

You spent all that money and time on cooling... Why not just go out and get a FX5900 or 9800 pro and save youself the pain?

Cos its the achievement of taking a relativly cheap card (by todays standards), and making it perform near to the speed of some of todays better cards.
What was the exact OC on the video card? Mem & Core.
But, yes it would have been a hell of alot cheaper, easyier and safer to go and buy something like a 9800pro.

all that money?... ?

money doesn't necessarily get you what you want.

if all that money is what i have, i would've bought prometia.

i already had a freezer, long before i started waterchilling.

it's even cheaper than a standard watercooling so i don't see "all that money spent".

the important part of the lesson here is: knowledge and ability to make a cheap efficient setup. money doesn't get you everything. ;)

it says in the url. 286core avg. and 570 memory.

not quite... if i had a 9800 pro, i would even modify my pelt+block and make it even more powerful.

haha l love this winkie.. ;) haha ;)

I havent been this impressed since I put some money in a drinks machine and nothing came out. In fact, im more jealous of you than the man with rabies I saw the other day. You have made history this day, take your place in the hall of greatness so we may bow down and weep for the overclock we could never have.

I'm more impressed by your astounding CPU OC. That's where most of your 3DM score is coming from, I'll bet. A 2.8GHz XP should be able to compare quite favorably (to put it mildly) to any P4 out there.

Regs echoed my initial thought, though. :)

"OMFG THAT'S AMAZING! I wish my Ti200 could break 6000"

Well, I can't touch cutehamster's benchies, but my lowly original Geforce 3 with Shuttle AN35N and XP1700+ @1.83 ghz managed a shade over 9000 3Dmarks. I was pleasantly surprised. (I don't think my 14 year old overclocked the card, either, as we were getting a few artifacts in some games, so we set it back to default.) I think 3D Mark 2001 likes fast CPU's and lots of memory bandwidth.
