Got 3 fans plugged in:
Medium Panaflo, medium yate loon, VF700.
Here's what happens sometimes. Over time, (a day or two of constant 24/7 on) the fans will just turn off. The fan controller will still be on because its LEDs are on, but turning hte knobs doesn't do jack.
A full cold restart is needed to bring the fans back alive.
Thank goodness my CPU temps only hit 38 39 idle then, and I load under 50 still (yay for XP-120). However, my GPU will be around 60s even after a good idle after games. I don't usuall game, but I did today and I didnt know my fans died. I assume temps went VERY high, and I came back an hr later to see it at 60s still. That's when I knew my fans turned off.
Anyone have this issue?
Sometimes I can 't tell my fans are off even though teh noise difference is considerate. Even if they go off, I have an exhaust 120mm and the PSU as well as the north bridge fans running sitll so I think the rest are on when in fact hte 3 most critical fans are dead.
