NO, i mean NO American will EVER EVER outwork a good Mexican worker in landscaping. A good American will always be slower than a good Mexican, there are reasons why they are in such high demand, they work so damn much better than Americans, and are less lazy, and are much faster, not only that, they get paid NOTHING,

sorry, i just had to rant, i worked with mexicans all week and it got on my nerve that no matter how fast i was, they were faster, i started at the same speed they were, but within an hour i had slowed down a lil (shoveling dirt) and they had sped up, by the end of the day, they were working as fast as they were to begin with it wasnt fun.

Flamebait thread that will end up getting locked. Personally, I prefer Ugandan immigrants from French Idochina to do my landscaping. I find their "work-songs" highly spiritual and motivational. That, and they wield a mean edge-trimmer.

You worked what, a week, with people who've been doing this for years, and you're slower? Gosh, what a surprise.

There are many excellent Mexican landscapers. There are many excellent landscapers of other nationalities, also.

Perhaps we should have a World Olympics of Landscaping to see who is really the best.

i have a lot of respect for them, its just crazy how damn fast they work.

yes i work landscaping for a summer job, its not tooooo hard, and i dont have to sit inside 24x7. it just is tiring having to listen to spanish all day long and only understand a few words they speak, but when they need me to do something, the one who can talk english talks it (and pretty damn good).

badmouse: ive been working for 5 weeks now. i think i cant get any faster at carrying a bag of mulch and dumping it unless i run, or get my endurance up. but if you took the best Mexican landscaper, against the best American, i can guarentee the Mexican would win, they just dont tire out (of course it would have to be for money)
