For some reason in the last day or so, my left eye keeps twitching at random times, it's pretty annoying. I was hoping a long sleep would cure it, but i slept for like 10 hours and when i woke up it was still happening. It doesn't hurt or itch or anything, just keeps spazzing out every once in a while. What can i do?

In all seriousness mine has been doing it off and on for the past week now, but its my right eye. It feels weird and no pain. And when I use that one eye to read and close the other one the text and letters jump all around it quite freaky. I am going to make an appointment with the eye doctor soon, I would do the same if yours persists as well. However I would be resistant to any surgery if needed ( worse case scenario ) for my eyes.. That would be bad....

Yeah this helps. When I stopped drinking coffee the problem went away.

Drink lots of water too, to rid yourself of dehydration.

I feel your pain. I went through a period of about six months where it seemed as though some part of my body was always twitching. A corner of my eye, my bicep, a muscle in my forearm, around my lip, in my hand...it drove me up the freaking wall. Each area lasted at least a few days, then it seemed to 'move' somewhere else. I hear vitamin supplements may help with twitching (a.k.a. muscle fasciculation) if it is caused by a certain deficiency or imbalance, but vitamins did nothing for me. Eventually, it just went away. I still get them periodically, but they only last a couple hours then go away for awhile, not like the constant twitching siege I was under before.

See, also:

It's either Parkinson's Disease or Third Stage Alcoholism. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...

You've probably been staring at a pc monitor or playing video games too much. Take a break from that and I guarantee it will stop twitching. And try some eye drops.

I can come over and clock you square in the eye if you want, I'm sure all the swelling will leave no room for spazzing. Leave your address, I'll be there by tonight.

I get that. It only happens when I need to sleep. So, go take a nap.

Lack of sleep, and stress. It will eventually go away. I've had it too, and yes, annoying as h3ll.

Another vote for "eventually it will go away."

I had an annoying eye twitch last summer but it only happens about once a month now.
