i saw two girls on separate occasions and each had the bottom part of the jean's legs rolled up. it was rolled in such a way that it's like folding it up, not really "rolling" it up. is this a new fashion trend or what?

Sounds like capris.. unless they're not folded up that high, in which case they're just cuffing their pants.
