I have used both HSFs from Thermaltake and here it goes:
The 1st one was a Volcano 7+ (I think) I used to rig up a PC for my friend back in the Athlon XP days...The fan won't even spin up because the goddamn fan is scraping the shroud! How could this thing passed QC?
The 2nd is a Big Typhoon VX I personally used for 3 years for my E6300 which I say does it job of pretty well until I replaced it with a new Cooler Master. So the Thermaltake was just lying around I figured might as well use it on my old S939 CPU since it is supposed to be S939 compatible...
Guess what? After attaching the HSF clip, I found out the whole HSF was so loose that it moved under its own weight! After reseating it a few times, still no go...What a POS. From now on I will not touch their products with a ten foot pole.
