since i will soon be a BofA employee, i thought i would go ahead and open an account with them and close my wamu account. i went into the branch where that my friend manages. we acted like we didnt know one another so he could judge the customer service of his employees

damn, i have never been so impressed

as soon as we started to make the account, another employee walks up and asks if i would like something to drink. Jokingly, i said i would love an Ice tea. she shortly returns with an ice tea.

then she asks if i wanted something to eat. she said we have sandwiches. i said i would have a sandwich, thinking i'm gonna get something fairly crappy but i was hungry anyway.

she returns with a togos steak sandwich and a brownie AND A AFTER DINNER MINT

damn i'm impressed with BofA

Wait until you get your first "statement". Or maybe they'll wait a couple of months.....
I'll bet there are charge backs, extra charges, unexplained items etc, etc.
BofA sux donkey dong. Those aren't earthquakes, that's A.P. Giannini is rolling over in his grave with what these carpetbaggers have done to his bank.
< Left Bof A after 23 years, went to the Pacific Telephone Credit Union, never looked back.

Maybe you got all that extra benefits BECAUSE you're becoming a employee. My BofA is generally nice, but doesn't do anything like that. I like the fact that I can find an ATM anywhere. Too bad there's no 'free checking and savings', meaning there's a hidden catch in the services. (minimum balance, need direct deposits.. blah)

tuxdave, how is having direct deposit a "catch"...? and do you live paycheck to paycheck? its not hard to have 1000 in the bank at all times...all it takes is a little will power to stop buying stuff...

Tuxdave talk to your local bofa I think they are starting a new promotion where if you open a savings account and deposit a minimum of 25 a month into the savings you get free checking. When I went in a couple weeks ago I was offered it and signed up for it.
