My ex made a pretty big mistake

She's on birth control pills while in Japan. Apparently the pills are stored in a square container instead of a circle like she's used to here. Well she accidentally took the pills in reverse order from her last period 10 days ago.

I told her not to worry about it and just start taking them in the correct order from 10th pill but she's still worried about her body and the hormone imbalance (she's not having sex so pregnancy isn't an issue).

Anyway, I seriously doubt it will harm her body in any way, just make her cycle a few days off at worst.

because going on and off of them repeatedly is a pain that screws up women's menstrual cycles.

There is a technique where you can skip the placebo pills to avoid having a period. Not sure if any doctors reccomend it.

Yes, when they prescribe it it's often under a different brand (such as 'Seasonal' (typically one period every 3 months)) however the pills are basically the same.

She should stop taking them completely until the 1st Sunday after her next period begins. At that time she should start a brand new cycle and her body will adjust. She may get her period off-time, but she will be just fine.
