My Essay about ATOT! **ESSAY INSIDE**

You may remember my earlier posts asking for you guys to link me to some of your favorite threads representing ATOT in it's best and worst. This essay does not, of course do ATOT justice - but cut me some slack I wrote it at like 5AM the day it was due (slept in - yikes!).

It was a short one - and we didn't have to really include any external research - just our own observations. If I had a scanner I would scan my notes which were twice as funny since I had diagrams drawn with words like 'DIAF' and 'yagt' and the great YAGT threads of ATOT.

Enjoy!

I wouldn't really call forums a "technology," but overall a decent start.

If you have to write about this again, I would use a bit different terminology. People would probably easiest understand this as a bulletin board, a discussion forum with different categories, under which people can post discussion threads or topics to which anyone can respond with a "post."

You'd be surprised how many people your description of forums would confuse!

If you want some help with your next ATOT essay, feel free to PM me 🙂

Haha - I tried to portray us in the best light - yet remain objective.

I think there are elements of a truly interesting essay there, but it needs a lot of work.

You reference a lot of terms and assume the reader can understand them without explanation. For example, you list the words OMGWTFBBQ stand for but do not explain the meaning of BBQ. Likewise with ROFLcopter and the copter...

Also, you topic seems to be ATOT as a form of English yet much of your paper is on the culture of ATOT. Either topic is a good one, but you should pick one.

If you sat down and developed this properly, I think it could be a very good essay.
