My employer is going to pay for computer related training

My employer has told me he will pay for some computer related training. I work at a lawyer firm as a network administrator. Anyways my employer suggested to go for the MCSE if I thought it would be useful. I am interested more in learning than getting the certificate. Did you learn a lot studying for the MCSE or do you feel something else would be more useful? What about something that is more interesting?

I say do it, I learned allot getting mine. The certs force you to learn it.

If you're interested in the MCSE material and your company will foot the bill then don't self study -- take some hands-on courses.

See if you can get him to pay for a trip to SxSw as computer related training.

I already get a trip to CES in Vegas every year so that might be hard to convince.
