My email changed. Anyone know someone at Seti to help me?

this statment in the FAQ pretty much screws me.

Any way you can get access to the old email account? Just for a day? Is the old domain dead, did you do something to make it so you can't get it back? That's your surest bet to get back in.

People, get your seti password and put it somewhere safe so this doesn't happen to you too!

My old account was with Mindspring. They grew up to big and the sevice IMO went SUCKY! Now im with AT&T. I probably could open a new Mindspring account and get it back. somehow i guess.

Mindspring may agree to "alias" your email account to your new one. It's a service all ISP's can offer. Most will charge a fee, but it is usually less than opening a new account.

You could also contact MindSpring and tell them you are having a change of heart. Resign up with them for a short period...long enough to get your SETI password mailed to you by S@H.

Good idea guys. Thanks for the tips. Ill try to get them to alias my account. If that wont work. Ill get me a free month from there somehow. I just need to change my team from anandtech!

Hmmm, those ideas might work but the best suggestion I can think of is to just point your email to raysun2be"at"yamoo.com. Problem solved.

Jwyatt: Now, when you get your Email back make sure you change it to a free web-based account like Yahoo, Hotmail, etc. That way you'll always be able to get at it.
