You know, I wonder if that's also on the list of things that annoys Jerboy too?
Get some 40 Grit sand paper, a sander, and hit it while it's running with your elbow. Your elbow will then be soft and bright red.
Get one of those things I had while there. That seemed to help. Rub some Vaseline on it to soften it. It seems like I remember hearing that rubbing lemon on your elbow helped take away either discoloration or roughness too.Originally posted by: Xerox Man
It's only my left elbow and the surrounding area, and it's tinted a dark color - but it's not dirt. It's extremely rough.
What the heck causes this . . . ? Lotion helps, but only temporarily. Should I get a dremel and grind it off?![]()

Xerox Man.....sure sounds like Psoriasis to me. Get some lotion specifically made for the problem. Many different brands out there. I use MG217.....also Blue Star ointment works well.
Uh....on your elbow, right?Originally posted by: Xerox Man
After sitting here and rubbing lotion on it for an hour, it looks a lot better and isn't quite as rough. Maybe just dry, I don't know. I'm gonna pick up some pumice and bag balm and go to town.

My girlfriend gets that exact same thing... it's soriasis (spelling) at least that is what she found from looking over articles on the net. It get passed down through your family and there is no known "cure" as such, just lotions and other things to temporarily moisten it.
Your could be different, but it sounds exactly like my girlfriends.

It's not psoriasis. Nobody else in my family has it and it's been a recent development in the last couple of years - after I moved from a high humidity environment to a low humidity environment. It also looks nothing like psoriasis; it just looks like my elbow is dirty.
"It's not a tuma!"
