My ear is killing me!

I was at a friends earlier when one of them decided to be a bad @$$ and shoot off his C02 pellet pistol right next to my ear. Now my right ear is hurting and stuff sounds like far away and not as clear. Do you think this will go away or what should I do?

It might be getting a little better now, or maybe I'm just used to it now I dunno. I'm going to have one of my friends dads look at it who specializes in ear surgery. But even if I did bust it, won't it heal back up some time soon?

It depends on how badly it is damaged. The ear drum doesn't heal as easily as skin, it is possible (probably unlikely in your case though) to do irreparable damage to it.

I've had my ears ring for two full days after a concert, though, and I still have freakishly good hearing.
