My e6600 requires a lot of voltage :(

Im trying to get 3.4ghz stable (benching atm) but I need to put the vcore at 1.525 in the bios and its reading 1.44-1.46v in cpu-z and the same for everest under load. my temps dont go over 54(coretemp) but those voltage seems to be a bit high. I'm using a p35-ds3r with F5b beta bios. Upping the FSB / vnb voltages didnt seems to bring more stability since going from 8x426 to 9x378 didn't change a thing. I'm running out of idea. Is my chip simply power hungry?

YMMV when you OC. I'm stable at 3.46GHz with my E4300. Others had to pump 1.4 to reach 3.2GHz.

stopped after 18mins28sec of orthos I think i'm gonna give up on the 3.4ghz

3.4-3.5 is about the average for most of the current E6600s. I have one that will do 3.46ghz and not 10hz more. I'm using a BadAx2 mobo, water cooling, BIOS vcore is 1.45. It just won't do more.

Well it probably won't interest alot of ppl but anyways I decided to back the core down to 3.2ghz (1.36v read stable) even 3.3ghz is not stable at ~1.45v read :/
