2 gig geil pc 6400
all in a thrermaltake tsunami dream case with corsair 620w power suppy.
my temps are showing 14-20 c depending on the ambiant temp. which is probably hight 60s in f it also got down to 7-8c one night when i left my window open . im in cali so its not frezing temps or anything.
is this right? i dont have a vid card in the pci-e slot yet casue im waitn to see how the new ati cards do. so i was thing it was this low from no heat coming from the card like everyone elseses comps.
right now i have a ati 3d rage pro from 1997 in there lol. just though id throw that in there for a laugh.

Thats impossible!

Your ambiant you say is high 60's and you CPU is at 55F and this is on air.

Think about it, How is that possible...Its not.

You have some borked readings there my friend.

ok i rechecked my ambiant its 17.5c in my room.
took another screenshot this time with speed fan on. is my real sys temp the 31c temp or is it still wrong? all the other programs just say 15-16c
i want to know if these temps are right or wrong so i dont over overclock thinking my temps are fine. when they might be really high.
thanks for any help

Install Intel TAT or CoreTemp and see if the temps are the same. These two programs actually read the true temp from a probe inside the CPU itself. That would give you a more likely reading on what the temp actually is.

tat says 20c at idle amb is 19c.
i think the temps are right becaue if i run workload level at 100% the temp goes up to bout 40-42c for both cores and stays there then drop back down to 20-22c within about 10 seconds

Luckily CPU was fine the motherboard however took a turn for the worst.
