I just finished assembled my E6300 on n ECS P965T-A......

I didn't try to OC it yet, & my Scythe Infinity hasn't arrived yet so I'm still using the Boxed Cooler....

I am running Prime 95 on 2 cores now, at the same time, surfing the net....The system is stable, and running COOL to...only 38 'C at full, compared to my Pentium D 805, 55 'C at full....

I've been using my Pentium D before this and that was pretty hot and loud....
But my new Core 2 Duo, it runs very cool & quiet also...don't forget, its still the boxed cooler from intel....Can't wait how much cooler it will run when my Scythe Infinity arrived....

Most likely, roughly the same temps, since it won't be at stock speed anymore.

After the zillion posts you made, you still bought an ECS mobo

Wow, FSB limit of 333 i see...

I guess we get what we pay for :(

No such thing as a good cheap C2D mobo.

(Well, unless you just want stock speeds.)

Depends on what you call cheap. I'd say the DS3 is pretty cheap.

Compared to, say, P5W-DH? Yeah. :p

I don't see a problem with people using ECS boards, or ASRock, etc. Sure you can't overclock well and you give up some features the "big boys" have, but $60 (or less) compared to $150+ is quite a savings. For most of these people, they'd have no use for the extra features anyways.

The ECS mobo is until the Gigabyte arrived here............
Good for you guyz because you're there in the West, whenever new products launches, you can buy it immediately because its available......

But for us here in Asia (Philippines), we cannot buy the products we want to buy because its not yet available and HIGH PRICE!!!!!!!
Where for INTEL, they manufactured processors here, so when the Core 2 Dou arrived, it is available here........But asus, gigabyte & msi are not yet available here, only ecs & intel mobo...The same with AMD, when the AM3 launches, it will took 6 months or so for it to be avilable here......

Intel products are always available, that makes them superior to AMD, because they can give availability right away...I'm not saying that intel is the best, I love the K8!!!! but its a FACT that the reason why most people used intel here in Asia is because of the availabity...Not all people can wait for AM3 to arrived when they can buy Conroe now....

The fact that intel products are always available, my mobo options are ECS & Intel mobo, but since I'm gonna upgrade soon to Gigabyte....There's no reason why I should go for a higher price Intel mobo, I can buy the cheap ECS and it will not heart me when I upgrade early of next year........
