Yes, Europe is a country... No, no matter what, i will not believe that was on purpose, you have demonstrated your lack of geographical knowledge plenty of times before.

uh, excuse me SAS fry chef, it is a continent. a continent contains many countries. some are big. some are small.

Holy crap. What are you speeds like? lol
FWIW, I can upgrade to 100/50 for $99/month, but I don't think I really need that much speed.

In Afghanistan, very low, at home, a sheitload higher than that, mobile is higher than yours, up to max 150Mb's and landline is five times that at max and with your speeds, 6MB's, it'd be free connections.

I would never pay more than half of that for at LEAST that speed and then it ranges from 100-200.

I can choose from over 30 networks that want me as a customer and 5 mobile nets in my area (if i was closer to Sheffield general area it'd be +40 and +12 depending on how their builds have gone lately, it's been a while since i was there).

Are we using the same scale here, or are you talking about the very high end, commercial lines?

Because broadband maps are showing in the range of 2-10 Mbps average (about on par with suburban areas here) for Sheffield. I've heard of those crazy high speeds only being in test areas, South Korea, and Japan, though to be fair many European nations do have higher household broadband percentage and higher average speed than the U.S.

Ummm.... Europe is a continent.

"Europe is, by convention, one of the world's seven continents."

You could use it. Being Indian (fake one anyway) you likely have a small penis.

We get it in the ass in Canada. I pay just under $50 month and get a 60GB cap, 16Mb down, 1.5Mb up

OP, I am thinking about changing to cable after this ATT $20 for 6 Mb special is over.

Since you have been on cable for a while, do you have problem with slow down from 5 p.m. to midnight, when heavy usage is happening?

We pretty much have fiber up to every station all over Europe, that dev started with the DefInt in 1989 and was so easy to expand upon, even the longest lines are VSDL capable up to 200Mb's and those are Gertrud and Mary up in the woods with a wooden stove and wireless internet.

You can pretty much just log in and surf at speeds up to 6Mb's all over Europe without paying for it, no throttling and no charge.

Of course, if you go out in the wilderness, you'll lose connection but you can get a cheap 4G modem and you'll pretty much never get less than 6Mb wherever you go, even if you set sails out in between nations like the UK and France or at the Spanish coast (highly recommended to actually do that, or if you don't like water, you can drive, just don't use your own car, rent a nicer one, your old car will make it smell and taste just like home and your experience will be useless).

Wow, now i'm a tourist guide...

Most of Europe, by convention, isn't a continent, it's the European nations, not the rest.

Let's be sane here, nations that are in the ME, are they European? How about Russia and how about most of Asia? AGAIN, it's no fucking continent even if you think it is.

And yes, i do belive the EU knows better than you or any fucking textbook, i do believe the nations counting themselves as European and those who do not get a say before some arrogant arsehole american get a say on the matter.

Seriously? This is the argument?

It's political/historical by one definition, geographical by another. Leave it at that.

And historically The US is British, right?

It actually was, but there is no part of history that defines modern day Europe as the amass of the the European and east asian continent and there never has been.

You'd probably do well to learn that before you are out of middle school where basic geography is taught.

Well, I only had this tier for a day - it's on a different network than regular service that I had before (OOL Boost Plus/Lightpath are run from Verizon's FIOS backbone.)

I did get slowdowns on my regular tier, but it would never dip below 20mbit. I had 30/5 service. When it was at it's worse, it was still low pings, and decent speed. I don't live in a really congested area.

It's been rock solid for years too. I'd say it slowed down maybe once every two weeks, and only for an hour or two.

I'm in the wilds of east anglea :eeek

That does suck, but civilisation will eventually reach even you, the buildout is progressive so it will not take all that long, by the end of the year you'll be in the same situation as any other Englander, fucking the Scots a bit though, sheit happens...

I mean, does anyone think they give a sheit about the internets, they just discovered setting their own property on fire...
