My DVD player plays DVD's fine, but won't play regular CD's?! Huh?

My player is a Pioneer DV-333. It seems to be fine in all aspects, except it won't play CD's, CD-R's, VCD's, etc... have I missed something here?

I've got the same DVD player.. plays all of those wonderfully for me. The damn thing will even play VCDs that aren't even close to being standard.

You're probably gonna have to RMA it. It should play CD-ROMs without a hitch.
