Hi,

the strangest thing happened to my Torisan DRD-U824: it started acting like a CD rom. I can read standard CD ROMs without a problem, but when I insert a DVD, I can't see the contents (it shows just one file with no nam e and a lenght of 0). Also, when I insert a DVD, my Power DVD starts normally but then it says there is no DVD in the drive. I know that it is NOT A HARDWARE PROBLEM, because it happened once already, but when I reinstalled Windows ME, it was OK.

System: Laptop computer, manufacturer Gericom, Celeron 600, 64 MB RAM, 10 GB HDD, ATI Rage LT PRO.

One thing I Think could be important: the first time this happened it was after I installed DVD Genie (not sure if that was the reason), now I installed Diskeeper trialware. I also tied system restore in Win ME but it didn't fix the problem.

PLEASE HELP ME!
