How out of the loop am I?

I've had the X for over a year and had stopped paying attention updates, figuring they were done. Two days ago I notice that a large download had begun, and I was actually worried that it was malware. I tried to stop it, but even turning off the phone only paused it. The fact that it was an OS update was a very pleasant surprise.

I didn't figure there was any way it would get any more major overhauls, and I had no clue they were even planning this. It's pretty cool that they're still supporting a relatively ancient product.

I feel like I got a new phone.
 
Like I said - The novelty having worn off I had totally shut down my update expectations. I still think it's damn cool they did that; they certainly didn't have to.
 
now if only they would release an update that would remove blur

yes yes i know ROM, i tried CM7 and it bootloped ill try again next week with something else
 
I don't think z4root works anymore with the last two versions.

The one click root works perfectly.
 
There have been two updates after the original DX GB build. Latest version is 4.5.605.MB810. Make sure you go to Settings / About Phone / System Updates to pull down any new ones.
