my dog broke his ankle

He jumped and fell I guess in a wrong position and the back right paw at the ankle became bent to the side, either broken or fractured at the point where the foot meets the ankle, and the ligament got stretched or something. I take him to a vet, and they give him a huge splint that covers his whole leg that he has to wear for six weeks. Does anyone know how ewell he will recover? It really annoys him and his leg is in a locked position. Anyone with this experience, can you give me some advice?
 
I have seen animals with broken backs be put in a cast for 6 weeks, and then on a trolley type mechanism for the rest of their lives and they seem to do quite well. your dog should be fine. Just follow vet's directions and all should be well.
 
my dog had a broken ligament in his leg. probably was almost the same as yours, he couldn't put any pressure on his leg, it basically looked broken, they fixed his leg, and same thing for us... 6 weeks, he made a full recovery and he runs and plays now as if it was nothing 🙂 and it's only been a few months since it happened.

i think your dog will be fine!
