My doctor was sent to jail

Nothing happened to me (performed minor surgery) but he was kind of a family doctor, since he _was_ treating my grandfather for his cancer. Now he gets put in jail for diluting cancer treatment medication. My mom tells me he told us to go to his office instead of the hospital for the medication, and that he seemed to have gotten worse since that before he passed away. How fvcked up is that? I mean, how sick can you be?

He took the leftover and sold it to 'wholesalers' blackmarket whatever.. pisses me off so much. I have a 9mm bullet with his name on it when he's let go I swear. *sigh*..

He could have faced up to 590 years in prison.

I've never understood how that works. Would they keep his body in the prison after he died? It just seems so stupid to give someone a sentence of 590 year when he's going to die in less than 100. Just call it a life sentence.

They do that to prevent him from getting out too early on parole or on good behavior.

I think I heard that the reason people get several life sentences or a billion years in jail is so that even if they do go back to court and get one of the life sentences removed there would still be the others for the perp to sit on. I don't know if that's true but that's just what I heard.
