Might explain why I hardly got a connection in my living room with the AP in the upstairs bedroom.
I went to my mother-in-law's house and noticed my bro-in-law with his laptop. I asked him how in thr world he was surfing the net with his wireless connection. He used Microsoft's builtin wireless configuration and was able to get on a neighbor's network, who by the way doesnt have encryption. Anyways, he has a centrino gateway laptop with an intel wireless card.
He got a strong connection while I had a hard time getting on. I thought DLINK are supposed to be good.
I might opt for a 3com now.
