my desktop icons and names keep defaulting back to normal after i installed latest nforce drivers. how to stop?

i know it isnt a part of the Windows XP System Restore because i disabled that. i had changed the names and icons for "my computer", "my network places", "internet explorer", and "my documents" but after a period of time, whether the system be restarted or not, it goes back to default. anyway to stop this from happening?


edit: when i change the icon for all of them but "my documents", i get no error. however when i change the one for "my documents", i get the following error
