Gawd damnit, im so pi**ed off. My dentist root treated the wrong f-ing tooth, im like "its not the one at the back, (talking about my lower right side) its the one in front of it" I point at it, poke it, squeeze it to show her.

The tooth right at the back had some kind of dressing on it for some reason, i tell her its NOT that one, its the one in FRONT. Root treats the one at the back anyways, a perfectly good tooth, the one in fronts still sore. The only reason its sore in the first place is because a filling was put in it, was fine before that.

ARGHH!!! F**K! I gotta go in tomorrow for another root treatment in the CORRECT tooth. Another boring as hell half hour which im tryin not to be sick in cause you have to hold your mouth open so wide and that stupid saliva sucker thing dosent take all the saliva away and you have to swallow but you cant cause shes got her hand stuck in your mouth with that drill thing for ages and ffs... also the daft saliva sucker thing keeps poking that pallette bit that people poke to make themselves sick which is a PITA. Id be happier with tooth decay, im seriously. My teeth looked and felt fine, especially from the front, now they dont. Well they look fine but the one thats actually sore STILL HURTS!! GAWD DAMNIT!!

Im tryin not to be mean about the actual dentist cause shes doin it for free and it usually costs money. But FFS!! Its like losing your arm when you chop wood or somthing, the doctor manages to put on another arm from a dead body cause your one got mashed.... Lotta skill involved, lotta time and precision, takes a degree to do, but the idiot puts your arm on backwards. Yea accidents happen etc but its bull when it happens to YOU.

From what my cousins tell me, it's a fairly common problem (scam?) in the UK. They, along with a fair number of people they know, fly to the US if they need any major work done. One of the families they know actually flies to the the US for their bi-annual checkups. They would rather buy 8 international plane tickets each year than go to any dentist in the UK. That, to me, speaks volumes about the level of dental care provided in the UK.

I don't know about you but getting a root canal is pretty traumatizing. It's not like you are paralyzed or bedridden but it takes at least an hour and you don't exactly feel like playing football after. It's not a walk in the park.

Please. They aren't that bad. No, you don't feel like playing football, but I went back to work after both of mine. No worse than a headache.

Yeah, couple that with the fact that i cant actually see inside my own mouth.... and my mouth was numb throughout the procedure and for about two hours afterwards. I was sitting playing navy field when i realised "oh wow, i can feel my gob again" so i poked the suspect tooth and was like WTF? Its not rough or anything, feels fine. I looked in the mirror and realised, aw gawd damnit shes messed with the wrong one... AGAIN... Again because it had a dressing on it before, when the tooth in front was supposed to have that.

I played 4 hours of pick up hockey the night I got my root canal done.

If they get infected they are the worst headache I've ever experienced ...

Don't put dirty things in your mouth and they won't get infected.
