I want to get just the fan off a volcano II. on Tt's website it says 36cfm@31.5 Dba. For 2 cfm less and a whole lotta less noise, I want one!

the fan isn't what they rate it at. sure, it's a lot quiter than the black label delta, but its performance isn't even near the delta's.

gogeeta13; TO quieten the Delta and stop the vibrations reverbarating into the case, stick the fan onto the heatsink with Silicon.

YS Tech 26CFM is the best alternative for noise/performance compromise. And YS is quieter that Volcano's fan, has a lower pitch and is less irritating. Volcano 2 fan is < 26CFM at the best... Had them both

Get a rheostat at Radio Shack or here and you can lower the rpm's to a reasonable level without losing too much performance if you set it right..

just buy the entire volcano 2 heatsink fan, put the heatsink on your video card  and use the fan, the whole hsf only costs $8, delta fan itself with no heatsink costs $12

i already have an extra HS, i bought the MC370 from KD for 27, and then bought the vantec w/delta for 17. so i have an extra vantec. Someone said that lowering the speed of a delta will not quiet it down much, because of the turbulence that the 7 fan blades creates.

I have a Sunon fan, that is I think similar to the YS Tech one.

23.5CFM 34.3dBA. Working great for me. My old stock fan from retail PIII 53eb sounds louder than it haha.
