Hey guys, my dell fp20001 LCD just arrived.

For some reason, when i plug it in with the DVI cable into the DVI connection on my video card, it gives me a real screwed up picture. It's jittery, there's lines running across it, it's blurry and everything. It works fine on the analog 15 pin connection to the analog connection on my video card though.

I tried adjusting the resolution to it's native resolution (1600x1200) and that didn't help. I tried downing the refresh rate to 60 hz. I tried adjusting the color bits to 16 bit. Nothing helped.

Anyone have any ideas? (i have a radeon 9800 video card btw). And i'm using the DVI-D connection.

Thanks.

Picture of the monitor on DVI... so screwed up

Have you tried installing the CD that came with you monitor? I know the 1800FP came with a driver cd thingy.

Long shot but would you happen to have another DVI cable to test it out? Maybe the cable is faulty?

Maybe, i dunno... i already looked at the pins of the DVI cable and nothing is bent. This is a brand new monitor, that'd be really weird if that was the problem though... :(

Go into your Catalyst driver and check "Reduce DVI frequency." That should fix it.
