that link doesnt say what is in YOUR system, all it says is what your system COULD have. You need to tell us exactly what components are in your rig. download and run everest home edition to get the details of your computer

Just tell him to run Everest as nick suggested.

Well, is there any other way to find it out without running everest? cant I just look it up on dell?

EDIT:And he would like to keep the price as low as possible, he doesn't want some $200 vid card, just one that can run this game

You might have Intel onboard graphics which suck. If so buy any agp card such as Nvidea, geforce 4, ti4200,4400,4600 or Ati ,9500 pro,9600pro,9700pro,all under 100.00$

Edit: By the looks of them specs you do have onboard graphics, time to go shopping.

on Everest for him, it says this for a vid card,

Field Value
Device Description Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller

Does this tell anything? Also, ultramag gave a list of some vid cards, are there any that cost around $30?

$30? maybe try a garage sale. honestly, thats not even enough for a used card with any sort of gaming power.

I had onboard graphics like a week ago till now had to run cs at 640x480 16bit and still didnt get a steady 30fps. as long as he runs a low res maybe 16bit he might be fine.

no, that would not be alright. get the 4200 i have linked above.

"DirectX 9.0 AGP video card with 32MB & HW-T&L required. 128MB or greater recommended. Compatible 3D cards include: nVidia GeForce 2, 3, 4, 59xx, 6xxx and ATI Radeon 9500, 9600, 9700, 9800, X800. We do not support the following video cards: ATI Rage, FireGL, NVIDIA Quadro, TNT/TNT2 and Vanta chipsets,Kyro,Kyro II, Intel 810 and 815, SiS, Xabre, Matrox chipsets. Video cards without pixel shaders or with less than 128MB ram will not support all graphics features."

Also, how much RAM does this comptuer have? This is also quite important when gaming

the one you posted just flat out sucks. you are not going to find anything even worth the money if you cant get it off ebay. it would be a different story if we were working with more than $30. cant he set up a lemonade stand for a weekend?
