my Dell can't go into Standby mode

I have a Dell Dimension 4300 1.4Ghz Pentium 4 running windows XP, it won't allow me to go into standby mode. when I try to put my computer into standby mode it gives me the error:

"The device driver for the Dell Enhanced QuietKey PS2 with Delltouch device is preventing the machine from entering standby. Please close all applications and try again. If the problems persists, you may need to update driver"

Does anyone have any suggestions or solutions to this problem? Thanks.
