Did you get charged sales tax?

I helped a friend buy a 2005FPW today for $466 after discounts, w00t!

What revision did you get?

I recived mine this morning and got a Rev A01, is that really the most recent revision?

I does not have any faulty pixels so it first i was very happy with it.
However as soon as i tried it some more i noticed the backlighting issue in the corners aint very nice at all. In fact its awful whenever the screen is displaying dark colors. 🙁

I think were getting Syringered here.. wtf !!!

someone hook me up with some Dell Canada coupons.. If I get a sweet job im hopeing for this summer, I'm going to buy a 2005FPW before I get my first cheque.. but im not looking forward to 854.10CND + 14% tax :|

$1350 for 2405FPW

damn you know what sucks, after receiving my 2005FPW, i found out that i have a bad pixel 🙁

Return it!

Dell does advanced replacement RMAs. Call Dell up, say that you aren't happy with the monitor you got and they'll send you a new one and schedule a UPS pickup for the other (not at the same time, so you've got some time to evaluate which is better). They will tell you on the phone that a single dead pixel is 'within spec' - that their quality assurance only guarantees 3 or less dead pixels - but they will always let you exchange it for any reason at all.

For you guys who have the 2005FPW: what are the measurements of the carton box packaging?

Anyone help me out? I'm thinking of having someone buy it over in the States to bring it back over if the box isn't too bulky.

Yep lemme see if I can find a measure tape.

Damn we can't find our measuring tape and don't own a ruler.

I'd suggest searching eBay, a few of the auctions have the actual CARDBOARD BOX measurements and weight.

Thanks to faZZter now I'm paranoid about my Ti4200.

I'm not a gamer (unless you count Simpson's Hit & Run).

Should I sell the Ti4200 and drive to Fry's for a 9800 Pro?

Heck no. If you aren't a hardcore gamer the Ti4200 will do fine. And even if you are a gamer it works decently... (I had one until I got a 9700 Pro as a Christmas gift) 😀

Oh, BTW RossMAN, about that monitor of yours... I HATE YOU :|

😉

I've had a 2005FPW for over a month now myself...does that make you jealous?

Did you pay $486.48 or less? I didn't think so. 😛

$484, bitch!! 😀 Bought January 3, 2005

25% AMEX coupon
$200 Dell Coupon
FREE SHIPPING

and i'm from CA, which is sales-tax hell!

Ok I'll give you that one, just this one time 🙂

Holy Shit... Someone Owned Ross! AT HIS OWN GAME
