Doesn't the 2005FPW have detachable speakers you can buy separately?

Are they USB powered?

Somehow I missed this post earlier. I confess this is one of the few games I've ever even tried, and it left me in absolute hysterics.

I returned mine a month ago.
The main reason was I was hoping it'd be decent as a TV monitor and it wasn't.
All the pictures seems like they were stretched out. Even when I was using my DVD player.
The backlight issue didn't bother me much.

Now this 2405 looks tempting. Anywhere close to $800 and I'm all over it.

i don't see any decent 23"+ LCD's for less than $1200, i highly doubt that dell would sell a 24" LCD for under $1000.

Dell is going to listed for $1199.
With a 25% lcd from time to time thats already $900.
Add in a stackable $50 now and there and you have yourself an $850 monitor.

When Dell came out with the 2005 at $799, that price tag didn't last very long.

so is there a backlighting issue that everyone has to deal with for all 2005FPW owners?

I'm not sure but my 2005FPW is INCREDIBLY BRIGHT, not sure if it's normal or not.

Awesome, thank you!

I know bright is supposed to be good but this is like 1,000,000 candle power.

Otherwise it's ok so far.

RossMan, did you catch the revolvingavatar virus from Syringer?
The new avatar has me all bunjled up. I hate change.

You obviously don't know me that well. I've been an avatar whore since Syringer was in spider diapers. In other words I've been switching avatars for quite a while now :p

Ross I just got mine as well and thru the DVI mine is extremely bright. I am not sure what the issue is but if you are able to fix it please let me know.

Guys, just turn down the brightness? Looks fine to me with it set at 50.

I have no backlight issues with mine either.
