Just bought from tigerdirect a recertified Dell 1900FP LCD monitor for $599.00. to replace my 21"KDS crt. The pitcure quality is good and no dead pixels. However, it seems there are two problems. One is that if I adjust resolusion and reboot the computer, it always returns to the default 60HZ 1280-1024,16bit color resolution. Can somebody tell me if this is a problem or lcds are just like that. My second problem is that I can't adjust the contrast of the monitor. When I push either the contrast
or brightness button, the indicatior light always on the the wording "brightness", I pushed the up and down button, but can't move the indicator to "contrast", so I can't adjust contrast. So if anyone has the same LCD, please tell me how you adjust contrast.
I am using ati 8500le 64mb vedio card and dvi cable.

default for lcd is 60hz, anything higher ie 75 would work but not necessary, if you're using dvi you cant adjust contrast. So you probably have 1 analog and other dvi

Thanks! Now I undeerstand why I can't adjust contrast. But is it normal, if you change resolutions and color depth, the monitor just returns to default settings after a reboot of the computer?
