How? By not providing a tip?

No that would be what you should be doing if you are a scumbag.

What you are doing is fraud as you know your bank is not going to pay the tips you are writing.

It's no different than you getting a debit card that you know works at merchants but never really gets paid out.

You are STEALING.

mods...seriously this is the kind of stuff that should be moderated. This thief should be banned and ip blocked.

I really don't get how this stuff flies, but calling someone a dumbass can get two weeks off.

I bet they would. ():)

I guess I'll play by your rules, though, and mock you at the same time:

Don't play by my rules. I am many things to you and good is not one of them. So, why don't you be the good guy and lead by example and give us your real information. Unless, you're afraid of someone somewhere out there getting your private info and using it for unholy reasons? This is a party line, afterall.

But you wouldn't understand such things so just give it to us.

From Wikipedia:
In the broadest sense, a fraud is an intentional deception made for personal gain or to damage another individual; the related adjective is fraudulent.

If you want to run with that, go ahead. Maybe you should turn me in to the authorities.

large enough that the bank might wonder.

they called me to ask when i put 3x $5-600 transactions in a row.

I see. I've had transactions blocked even though money was in the account. However, I never got a call. I had to call.

You are intentionally decieving though, you have even admitted it here. You are leaving big tips knowing they will not be paid.

That is fraud and that is stealing.

If you're bragging about breaking the law openly, why would I give my personal information to you, an self-admittedly disreputable pile of crap?

lol. I will start backwards. How is it stealing? Second, If my bill is $100 and I leave a $100 tip while having >$200 in my account for processing but the bank decides to only take out $100, then it's my fault even though everything is signed and legit on my end? Entertain me by explaining it to me in a logical (rather than emotional) way.

For the first time in the history of Anandtech, I think someone actually agrees with you, Alky. :p

 though, you're absolutely right.

I wonder if TrollHunters will do anything about it? :D :D

It is your fault because, as you admitted, you know small tips will be honored but large tips will not. Instead of paying in cash, you purposefully defraud the establishment by putting down a tip you know will not be honored with the intention of it never being paid.

Like writing a check to buy something when the check is tied to a closed account or doesn't have any money in the account, etc.

But you know that and have admitted as much in this same thread.

Your analogy doesn't pass the smell test. Weak too. My intentions (good or bad) are independent of my actions. Seriously, how would you prove that what I did was fraudalent? You are claiming fraud so prove it. What specific actions did I take is illegal? Did I provide a false name? Did I put less than what I owed? Did I use someone else's card? Did I have less than what is supposed to be in the account? Who did I defraud? How?

You admitted knowing that your actions are fraudulent. All of the questions you just asked have been addressed already.

You know it, you admitted knowing it, and no amount of back pedaling will change that. You deserve 10oz cuffs.

I got no problems giving out my personal information to people who aren't scumbags like you. I have Heatware to prove it

No, but I bet you have a problem putting your name and address on an open forum.

How can it be fraudalent if it isn't illegal?

I've done it before, on these very forums. Besides, your childish reaction to my initial inquiry of said pieces of information is not balanced because I never asked you to post them publicly.

Fits, though. Most thieves are stupid too.

Fraud is illegal, no matter how stupid you act about it. It wouldn't be fraud if you didn't know about it. However, since you've admitted as much, you've effectively turned it into fraud.

The moment you sign the receipt with a tip on it, you are obligated to pay that amount. You're simply using your bank as an excuse to steal from merchants.

You think I care about who you are? Do you think I even wanted your info? I only asked because you asked for mine. If you've done it before then you should have no problem doing it again. Besides, if I really wanted your information, I could use all that you've said here and run with it. But, again, this is an open forum so someone else might. Whose the stupid one?

OK. I can see you have nothing else to say other than repeating what you've said before. I hope you're not a lawyer because you can't prove it. You lose.

Why would I get a lawyer? I wouldn't be the one prosecuting you because I'm not a merchant you've admitted to defrauding.

Try what? Getting your info? Why would I? I don't want it. By the way, you get overly emotional over shit you read on the internet. Calm down, Nik.

How do you know I'm emotional? Your detatchment from reality must afford you some pretty cool super powers.
