Ok i just invested $1500+ on my new gaming rig, i ordered all my parts from newegg, xoxide, and zipzoomfly. Zipzoomfly and xoxide packages came yesterday, but today newegg's was suppose to be here which it was(but no one was home). I actually couldn't tell you the last time i was this pissed. UPS sucks ballz, i called an agent up and there isn't even a way to atleast pick it up. I have a friend that had the same situation a couple of yrs ago, but it was fedex, and he called fedex up and was able to pick up the package the same day it attemted to come in.

But what can you do, nothing. I have to wait tommorow. The reason why i was so dissapointed is because i don't have work today, and tommorow i have to get out of school early because i have to go to work. This day sucked.

if you know the package is coming & you trust your neighborhood. you can print the tracking history from the web and sign the paper, leave in on your front door and UPS will leave the stuff on your door step. This signed paper serves as the acceptace signature. I've never had a problem with this, done it dozen+ times.

I also have a UPS nightmare story. I'll give you the short version.
I built a PC for my cousin and shipped it to him and insured it for the amount that the parts cost. It was dropped (straight down) HARD in shipping. The hard drive cage was bent, the motherboard tray was hanging out and the power supply had bent the back of the case where the screws attach. It took over 4 months to get the insurance money out of them. It was a pain in the a$$, to keep calling them back to keep the issue moving forward. They had one criteria after another to meet in order to claim the insurance. What I learned: 1) Keep all of the packing materials until you know everything is OK. 2) you must have at least 3" of padding on all sides of the item your shipping. 3) Sometimes insurance is worth it if you persisent enough to see it through.

I know the feeling. I used to get that way and have even stopped Fed-X trucks on the street after finding a tag on my door - never got lucky though. I set up delivery at my work address with Newegg and haven't had a problem since.
