my daughter locked me out of bios and forgot the password

😱 my daughter decided to go into bios in my old computer and set a pasword in it and then forgot what it was. Is there any way to get around it or will resetting it by removeing the battery reset it to at least its default settings as well as get rid of the password
any help would be greatly appreceated

You can remove power to the computer and remove the BIOS battery -- that will reset it to factory-default. You'll obviously lose any other BIOS settings you have, but those can be reset if necessary.
