he watches tv like sport, 3 vcr's its wacky

if we get a 28+ hd tv anything to know?

1. he has comcast... but not digital does that cost more?
2. i wanted to get him a 1080p version to future proof him
3. if it has a tunner and upscaler will it look better for dvd's
4. he's redsox fan and want it for that on nesn is that extra
thanks

an HDTV <28" would be a waste.

1.Analog cable will look worse that digital cable, it generally costs more (but not too much more)
2.I've never been a fan of dlp (angle viewing), I know there are a lot of 1080p LCD's out now
3.get a progressive dvd player. The TV will upscale the image

He should wait until he's absolutely sure - the surgery is expensive, and converting an analog dad to an hd dad is also very risky.
