My Dad Needs a New PDA or PocketPC...

My mom wants to get a new PDA for my dad for Christmas and she does not want to spend more then $300 (probably closer to $250 or $200 if possible). Of course I want to get a him a Pocket PC, but he definitely won't make use of all of the features and he needs strictly the organizing features (contacts, calendar, tasks, notes etc.). I would at least like to get him a nice looking color screen (he has an old Palm III). If there are any good Pocket PC's for this price, please recommend those too, because he does love technology, he just hates paying for it 😉 . He doesn't understand everything I have and why I have them, but he loves seeing the things I can do with my Pocket PC and my computer. I guess my only choices that aren't pocket PC are palm and sony. I'm tempted to put a little money into this myself to get my dad something a little better, but can you guys help me out? Thanks.

Edit: I just started looking at this from Sony
It's the Orange One

I know this is more expensive than what I had wrote above, but I may put a little money into this too.

If he already has a Palm OS PDA, stick with what he knows. I think you can find the m515 now for around the price you want, and it's color. It's much more svelt than his old PalmIII, anyway. 😉

I agree, stick with the PalmOS (unless he hates it). The Sony Clies are currently the best deal (IMHO).
You can get a T-615 for around $200 if you shop around. It has a 320x320 screen that looks terrific, and much better sound than most PDAs.
